      Use of wood: Wood energy is still the predominant fuel in households, ie 97.90% of the department's population.

    • Firewood, 2021 estimate: 10,378 tonnes;
    • Charcoal, 2021 estimate: 4,303 tonnes
  • Potential electricity production construction of hydroelectric micro-dam 

Communication

  • Accès Internet: MTN 3G
  • Presence of optical fiber : SDH and DWDM backbone in Sibiti.

Hydrography

The Department has a hydrographic network comprising the rivers:

  • The Mpoukou;
  • The Lékoumou;
  • The Lelali;
  • The Bouenza;
  • The Letili
  • The Ogoue

Agriculture

Food crops done:

  • Cassava;
  • Peanut;
  • Taros;
  • Plantains;
  • Squashes; 
  • Sorrel;
  • Ginger;

The main activities done for arboriculture:

  • Safou trees
  • Mango trees;
  • Banana trees.

The following staple crops are in development:

  • Corn.
  • Soy ;
  • Hevea;
  • Coffee ;
  • Oil palm tree

Breeding and fishing

The department by its climate limits the breeding activity to:

  • Poultry; 
  • Goats;
  • Fisheries and aquaculture;
  • Inland fishing practice not dynamic

Industry

Industrial activities developed in the department :

  • The wood processing industry;
  • The agricultural products processing industry;
  • The mining industry.

Transport

The department is served by two modes of transport:
 
  • Ground transportation:
    • The department is connected to Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire first by the section: Sibiti-Loudima;
    • The RN1 from Loudima to Brazzaville or Pointe-Noire;
  • Air transportation Sibiti airport provides rare connections with other departments.
