The Department has a hydrographic network comprising the rivers:
- The Mpoukou;

- Peanut;
- Taros;
- Plantains;
- Squashes;
- Sorrel;

The main activities done for arboriculture:

Breeding and fishing
The department by its climate limits the breeding activity to:
- Poultry;

- Fisheries and aquaculture;
- Inland fishing practice not dynamic
Industry
Industrial activities developed in the department :
- The wood processing industry;
- The agricultural products processing industry;
- The mining industry.
Transport
The department is served by two modes of transport:
- Ground transportation:
- The department is connected to Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire first by the section: Sibiti-Loudima;
- The RN1 from Loudima to Brazzaville or Pointe-Noire;
- Air transportation Sibiti airport provides rare connections with other departments.
