Situ\u00e9 au Nord-ouest du Congo et l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord. Sa position g\u00e9ographique qui la rapproche du Gabon, Cameroun et la RCA, fait de lui un carrefour d\u2019\u00e9change commercial et de transit. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/td>

Relief plat s\u2019\u00e9tendant sur une grande partie de son territoire, pour s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ver dans la partie Ouest du d\u00e9partement et culmine \u00e0 plus de 1000 m\u00e8tres au Mont Nabemba.

Climat chaud et humide, avec deux saisons s\u00e8ches r\u00e9parties de mi-d\u00e9cembre \u00e0 mi-mars et de juin \u00e0 mi-ao\u00fbt.

Deux saisons pluvieuses la caract\u00e9rise de mars \u00e0 juin et d\u2019ao\u00fbt \u00e0 mi-d\u00e9cembre.

Pluies abondantes et temp\u00e9rature moyenne avoisinant 26 \u00b0C.

For\u00eat dense primaire et r\u00e9seau hydrographique parmi les plus denses du Congo.

V\u00e9ritable r\u00e9servoir de biodiversit\u00e9, la for\u00eat, couvre la quasi-totalit\u00e9 du d\u00e9partement, est sillonn\u00e9e par une multitude de rivi\u00e8res.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
