1-Relief<\/strong><\/p>

Il est discontinu et compos\u00e9 de deux ensembles de relief entrecoup\u00e9s de d\u00e9pressions mar\u00e9cageuses couvertes de papyrus: <\/span><\/p>

-Une plaine c\u00f4ti\u00e8re ne d\u00e9passant pas 100m d'altitude. Sa bordure occidentale est marqu\u00e9e par des cirques profonds et instables: Gorges de Diosso;<\/span>
<\/p>


<\/p>

-Une cha\u00eene de montagnes, le Mayombe pr\u00e9sentant une succession de cr\u00eates culminant \u00e0 903 m d'altitude( mont Mvoungouti).<\/p>

2-Climat <\/strong><\/p>

Climat tropical humide caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par des temp\u00e9ratures annuelles d'environ 23-32\u00b0 C et des quantit\u00e9s de pr\u00e9cipitations variables. Deux(2) saisons s'alternent : une saison s\u00e8che qui dure trois \u00e0 quatre ( 3 \u00e0 4 ) mois de juin \u00e0 septembre et une saison de pluie de huit \u00e0 neuf ( 8 \u00e0 9 ) mois d'octobre \u00e0 mai ( novembre est le mois le plus pluvieux ). <\/p>

3-Hydrographie <\/strong><\/p>

Le r\u00e9seau hydrographique du Kouilou est constitu\u00e9 de plusieurs cours d'eau et lacs dont les principaux sont : le Kouilou, la lou\u00e9m\u00e9, la rivi\u00e8re Loukoula, la rivi\u00e8re rouge(Loubenda), la rivi\u00e8re Ngongo, la rivi\u00e8re Manzi, le lac Conkouati, le lac Noumbi.

4-La v\u00e9g\u00e9tation <\/strong>
 La v\u00e9g\u00e9tation du Kouilou est domin\u00e9e par des for\u00eats et des savanes. A l'int\u00e9rieur du Mayombe, on distingue trois(3) secteurs :<\/p>

-Un secteur forestier;<\/p>

-Une mosa\u00eeque de for\u00eat d\u00e9grad\u00e9e;<\/p>

-Des pseudo-steppes de d\u00e9gradation extr\u00eame. <\/p>
